A toner acts like water for your skin; according to science it is a fast-penetrating liquid that delivers a quick hit of hydration into the skin and helps remove some dead cells off the surface of the skin.
With the cosmetic industry advancing in research; there are now different types of toners. Most popular ones to note are in the category of maintenance toners and treatment toners. I for one use two types of toners from different brands; because I tend to have slight eczema breakouts an oily skin and dehydration in winter. So hydrating toners and toners with vitamin C or alpha hydroxy acids help to maintain my skin.
When I feel like the texture of my skin is rough and uneven I use my@pixibeautyGlow Tonic Toner which has glycolic acid to treat the condition. Glycolic acid gently exfoliates dead skin allowing for faster skin cell renewal. When my skin produces too much oil, it’s generally a sign that my skin is dehydrated, I then switch to my hydrating toners and those help to reduce excessive oil production and maintain my skin’s balance.
