Vitamin C and Sunscreen are besties for life! You absolutely must have these two in your beauty cabinet if you want to combat signs of aging, and rock a glowing skin. Vitamin C 🍋🍊 Also known as the anti-aging superstar; because of it’s anti-oxidant properties, is a must have. Anti-oxidants protect your skin from free-radicals which are toxic by-products of oxygen. These are responsible for pigmentation, loss of skin elasticity and other negative impacts on the skin. Vitamin C combats this, whilst improving texture, appearance of marks and radiance. Sunscreen 🧴 Sunscreen protects your skin from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays, which come in two forms – UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays are most commonly associated with skin aging. These rays cause fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and age spots that make the skin look prematurely older. Using sunscreen daily helps to combat this, by protecting your skin from these harmful rays. My advise; use vitamin C in a treatment formulae like a serum/ampoule/cream essence at night; this is the best time because your skin is repairing itself at this time. During the day, apply your sunscreen to protect your skin. So, vitamin C is to treat, whilst sunscreen is to protect.
